He was born February 25, 1921 in Preston County the son of the late Elmer Costlow and Elizabeth Johnson Costlow. He is survived by his wife Ella P. VanScoy Costlow whom he married December 17, 1978. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters; Donna Hall of New Martinsville and Elizabeth Costlow of Somersworth, New Hampshire; six grandchildren Gregory Hall, Eric Hall, Nathan Hall, Kesa Magruder, Jill Peabody, and Carla Pickard; and several great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; one sister; Mabel Pool of Fairmont; one step sister Annabelle Mayer of Arthurdale; three stepchildren; John Trader of Quiet Dell, Michael Trader of Clarksburg and Charlotte Panetta of Quiet Dell. Mr. Costlow was preceded in death by one grandson; Douglas Hall; two brothers; Ray Costlow and George Costlow; four sisters; Mildred Boelter, Virginia Born, Dorothy Costlow and Becky Pifzer. He was self employed as a machinist and mold maker having retired from Proto Mold. Mr. Costlow was a veteran of the US Marines have served during WWII and was protestant by faith. Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg from 6-8 p.m. Monday, where services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Olen Robertson officiating.
