Sarah 'Sally' Ann is daughter of William Hitch and Miranda SHORT.

She married Dr. James Selby Sudler who died in 1863, Delaware. They had daughters Elizabeth Ellen 'Lizzie' and Mary Ann Garrison.

Residing in Nanticoke/Seaford on 1870 census with husband Frank E. Smith and 2 Smith children Harriet and Alice; and Sudler daughters Mary Ann and Lizzie.

Sally appears on the 1880 census Wilmington, New Castle DE, with husband Frank E. Smith, and 5 Smith children -Harriet E, Alice M, Benjamin B, Bertha B and Mabel A; 2 of her Sudler children Mary Ann Garrison and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Ellen.

The 1900 census, widowed, residing with son Benjamin Biggs Smith in Asbury Park, Monmouth, NJ, indicates she had 9 children, 6 living.

Mary Ann married Harvey Riggin in 1881.
