She met her husband of 67 years while she was working on Redstone Arsenal during WWII. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was active in several civic organizations.
Survivors include husband, Andrew F. Serio; sons, Michael S. Serio and wife, Lynn, of Nolensville, TN, Robert A. Serio and wife, Peggy, of Huntsville, and Joseph A. Serio and wife, Winora, of Huntsville; sister, Reba Walton of Kansas; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Friday at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Manna House, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Huntsville Hospital.
