Mary Bernard Goette, 79, died Jan. 4 at her residence.
She was a 1936 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy and received a degree from Georgia State College for Women in 1940. She was employed as a chemist for the Public Heath Service on Oatland Island until her retirement in 1973. Later, she worked at Armstrong Atlantic University in the chemistry department. She was a lifelong communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and served on the Parish Council.
VISITATION: 4-7 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Drayton Chapel.
FUNERAL MASS: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, burial in Catholic Cemetery.
REMEMBRANCES: Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Hospice Savannah or St. Vincent's Academy.
