County Resident For Many Years Is Buried Here

Requiem high mass was sung on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Jude Thaddeus church at the final funeral rites for the late Noe Charpentier, who passed away on Sunday after a long illness.

Born in Quebec, June 13, 1859, Noe Charpentier came to the United States when 20 years old, settling at Faribault, Minn., where he lived with his wife, Leo Cadie Duand, for 25 years. They came to Hill County and settled north of Rudyard in 1919, living there and in Havre ever since.

Surviving relatives include his wife and eight daughters: Mrs. N. Nicholai, Portland; Mrs. Charles Traile, Northfield, Minn.; Mrs. J. Ames Sweeney, Mrs. R.G. Sweeney, Mrs. Al Perry, and Mrs. O. Baldwin, Calif.; Mrs. B.O. Clark, Havre; and Mrs. Harry McKenty, Hermiston, Ore. Three sons, Felix and William, Havre; and Alexander, Oakes, N.D., also survive. Two brother and one sister live in Canada.
