Marriage 1 JUne 1837, Tallapoosa Co, Al.
He was a man of talent, Editor, Politician, Militia General, Confederate Colonel, member of Alabama Legislature in 1880-1881, and prominent candidate for Governor in 1866. They lived in Dadeville, Tallapoosa county, Alabama.
Their son, Nathan Bulger, a promising young man, died in 1856, when he was about 20 years old. He was a school mate whom I greatly valued for his excellent character.
Another son, William Bulger, was for a time after the war, a cadet at West Point, N.Y. He is a young man of marked ability, and was a prominent candidate for the nomination for Congressman from his District in Alabama."
I welcome any comments or corrections from any of this family.
