She was employed for over 40 years at Burlington Industries Ossipee Plant and Williamsburg Plant . She was a lifelong member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church, a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class and the Women's Fellowship. She loved crafts and making Chrismon ornaments and Pauline's Doll Class; she was an avid gardener and member of Monroeton Garden Club.
Violette is survived by brother, John G. "Bill" Brown (Geraldine); sisters, Edna B. Michael and Jackie Barker(Wayne); sister-in-law Hattie A. Brown; 21 nieces and nephews; special friend, Terry Huffines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard Brown and Van Brown.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 2,1010 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers III and Rev. Tim Geiger. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
