Hannah was one of seven known children of Abraham "Abel" and Amy Furby Galland.

She was the first of four wives of Reuben William Strong. They married ca 1846 and were listed twice in the 1850 census. In one, they were listed near Council Bluffs, only 3 houses from her parents. They had 2 sons listed with them:

Hannah died of cholera after crossing the Loup River near Columbus, Nebraska. The family was on the Morman Trail en route to Salt Lake City.
