Franklin D. Roberts, age 79 of Monticello, formerly of Crossett, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Belle View Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. He was born December 23, 1934 in Fries, Virginia the son of the late William Roberts and Lula Keith Roberts.He was a retired machine operator for Union Camp, of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Rice Roberts.Survivors include three daughters, Deloris Hayes and husband Ralph of Warren, Toni Hopper of Crossett and Ann Ingram and husband Andy of Monticello; one brother, Bob Roberts of Bassett, Virginia; one sister, Gay Scott of Martinsville, Virginia; eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
