They were: Clara Hellen Abbott was born on 12 December 1858; Charles Merrill Abbott was born on 01 November 1861; Mary M. Abbott was born on 03 December 1863; Henry C. Abbott was born on 21 August 1865; George Abbott was born on 14 September 1868; Katie E. Abbott was born on 07 February 1869; Lyman A. Abbott was born on 07 October 1871; and Edward W. Abbott was born on 05 December 1874. All the children were born in Andover, Oxford County, Maine.
Note: Simon "Andrew" Abbott, son of Nathaniel Frye Abbott, lived with and took care of his father till the death of the latter, and had the farm. His second wife, Sarah H. Thomas, was a cousin. He is an honest, upright man, but a poor farmer and financier, loves hunting better than farming, and takes but little interest in town affairs. (1883). Abbott] died Friday P.M. at 7 o'clock [Feb. 15, 1907]. Mr. Abbott had ill turns for some time and was taken ill a few days before he had paralysis after which he lived a very short time. The funeral services for Andrew Abbott were held in the Congregational Church on Monday last at 10:30 o'clock attended by the Rev. Mr. Fisher of Mexico. Mr. Abbott was a son of Nathaniel and Polly Stockbridge Abbott. He was about 78 years old. He married Helen Thomas more than 25 years ago. They have five daughters and three sons. Two daughters and one son have passed away. Mr. Abbott has lived in town all his life. He spent his married life on the farm where he died. Mr. Abbott was an honest, upright man. He will be missed in the community and the neighborhood where he has lived for so many years.
