DAVENPORT -- Clara Van Severen, Davenport, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Kahl Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to Kahl Home or St. Anthony's Church. Clara was born May 31, 1897, in Buffalo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Cable) Hammerlinck. She married Isaac Sanders in 1919. He died in 1925. She married Peter Van Severn in 1929. He died in 1969. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Survivors include granddaughters and spouses, Nancy and Dwight Schroeder, Montpelier, Iowa, and Sharon and Steve Davis, New London, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Hammerlinck, Davenport; and sister, Jeanette Carlson, Illinois City. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Sanders; five sisters, Margaret Ehrecke, Grace Suhl, Edith McManus, Helen Hass and Loretta Klauer; three brothers, Albert, Leonard and Walter Hammerlinck; and a great-grandchild, Wendy Schroeder
