His funeral; at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert-Betengee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. James Ferrell officiating. Burial; in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy.
He was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Butler County, Ky., the son of Alfred and Eve Smith Cockrell.
He married Alma Corley May 22, 1937, in Butler County.
They were the parents of two daughters; Mary Louise Cockrell and Carolyn June Cockrell.
Mr. Cockrell farmed in the LeRoy area, retiring in 1991. He was a member of LeRoy Baptist Church.
