Kenneth Thomas Humbert, 82, of Westminster died Sept. 5 at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born April 17, 1923, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Charles H. Humbert and Mary Flickinger Humbert.
He was the husband of Julia E. Glass Humbert, his wife of 57 years.
Before retiring, he was a carpenter for Union Local 101 in Baltimore.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, an Army Veteran of World War II, and a life member of VFW Moleville Farm Post 467, where he served with the honor guard.
He was also a member of American Legion Carroll Post 31, Gettysburg Moose Lodge 1526 and Littlestown Eagles Aerie 2226.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughter-in-law Thomas E. and Cheryl E. Humbert and Randy L. Humbert, all of Westminster; daughter and son-in-law Darlene J. and Keith R. Peterson of Westminster; sisters Mary L. Humbert of Baltimore, Julia McDade of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and Helen Cantley of Rexford, Mont.; and brother Claude "Bud" Humbert of Farnham, Va.
Also surviving are grandchildren August Cheetham, Paul "Gabe" Peterson, R. Aaron, Bradley L. and Lauryn Humbert; great-grandsons Alex Kristopher and Justin Karl Cheetham; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by sisters Jennabelle Sweitzer and Marion Martin; and by brother Charles L. Humbert.
