WAPELLO - Mrs. Edna M.
Paxson, 98, Wapello, died in Burlington Medical Center Monday, Nov. 18.
She was born May 10, 1887, to Thomas E. and Ella Jane Van Horn Boden, at Cairo, where she married Jess Paxson on Oct. 28, 1909; he died Feb. 4, 1961.
Mrs. Paxson taught at the former Amity School at Cairo from 1906 to 1908. She was a member of Cedar Street Church of God and was a charter member of the Kensingtons.
Surviving: Two sons, Robert, Sherwood, Ark., and Chester, Wapello; two daughters, Luella Heldt, Modesto, Calif., and (ed.-living); ten grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, the Rev. Harry Gates; Fulton Cemetery, Cairo. A memorial to the Cedar Street Church of God has been established.(per the request of Leslie Saint (46780111)
