Maxine Willeford, dau. of Levi Daniels & Lillie Ennen Daniels was born on the Daniels farm in Bond County. She grew up on the farm and attended the one room schools nearby. She married W.F. "Bill" Willeford. He was a farm trucker,who later served as Bond Co. Sheriff for 20 years. They were the parents of a son, Jerry Alan Willeford. Her husband & son preceded her in death, as did 2 of her brothers. She was survived by two grandchildren: Crystal, Mrs. Cecil Ray Jorgensen II, of Kalamazoo, MI; Jordan A. Willeford of Greenville, 1 great-granddaughter, Isabel Jorgensen; 3 sisters, Melba Ulmet of East of Greenville, Shirley Olive of Mulberry Grove, Dorothy Ruch of Pahrump, NV; 2 brothers, Earl Daniels of Pana, & Joe Daniels of Hookdale, IL. She and her husband had given approximately one acre of ground to Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted Apr. 28, 2012 by Moderator Marshall Mollet, of Mt. Nebo, where they are buried. She was a member of the Church and had served almost 15 years as Clerk of the Session.
