Provo Man Dies; Rites Set Friday
Arthur Day Robinson, 51, 417 N. 1060 W., Provo, died Tuesday afternoon at the Utah Valley Hospital of cancer. He was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Fayette, Utah, a son of Edward Innes and Annie Day Robinson.
He married Edna Gee on July 8, 1939, in Brigham City and the marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on July 22, 1964.
Mr. Robinson was a steelworker for Geneva Steel in the Open Hearth Division, where he worked for 20 years. He received his education in Fayette schools. He had worked in a flour and wheat mill and a sugar factory in Gunnison. From March 13, 1945, to January, 1946, he served in the Armed Forces in the Philippines. His hobbies were camping, fishing, bicycle riding and bowling. At the time of his death, he was an Elder in the LDS church.
Survivors include his widow, Provo, two daughters and one son, Mrs Kenneth (Judy) Jones, Mrs Tom A (Peggy) Gleason and Larry Robinson, all of Provo; 10 grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Sylvia Jensen, Provo; Mrs. Eugene (Nola) Pay, Nephi; Mrs. Max (Merle) Williams, Pleasant Grove; Wallace Robinson, Castle Gate; Ervin Tims, Layton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Friends may call Thursday at the mortuary from 6 to 8 pm and Friday prior to services.
