Many Prominent Persons at Funeral Services in St. Thomas's

Funeral services for Marcus Daly Jr. of 920 Fifth Avenue, who died suddenly on Nov. 10 on a hunting trip in Virginia, were held in St. Thomas's Church, Fifth Avenue at Fifty-third Street, yesterday afternoon by Dr. Roelif H. Brooks, the rector. Burial took place in Green-Wood Cemetery.

Among those at the services were Mrs. Lele von Harrenreich Young Daly, the widow; Mr Daly's mother, Mrs. Marcus Daly; his sister, Mrs. James W. Gerard; his brother-in-law, Carroll Brown of Baltimore; Mrs. Fair Vanderbilt, Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt and Mrs. E. M. House.

Andre Pillot, John D. Ryan, W. D. Thornton, Cornelius J. Kelley, Donald G. Miller, Sherman Day, Thomas F. O'Brien and E. J. Brown were honorary pallbearers, and Mortimer Barnes, Walter Stokes, Lawrence Dunham, William N. Beach, Malcolm D. Whitman, Paul Kiernan and Noel McVicker, ushers.

NOTE: At this writing, there are no primary sources located that state Marcus Daly had a middle name, or his namesakes—his son and grandson. There is no documentation that Haggin was a middle name for any of them to this day. Marcus Daly's naturalization card from 1874, passport applications for all three of them, and all other primary sources show no middle name.
