Daughter of William Thomas and Mattie Perry Ward Bullock. Hilda married (1) Joseph Anderson Lemmon, and (2) Preston Blake Alford.

MYRTLE BEACH - Hilda Daisy Bullock Lemmon, 84, of Marion, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Born October 13, 1923 in Rowland, NC, she was a daughter of the late Mattie Ward and the late William Thomas Bullock Sr.

Mrs. Lemmon is a member of First United Methodist Church and the Lem Winestt Sunday school class. Her special lunch time was with her friends at Golden Favorites. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother "Mimi" and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph "Joey" Anderson Lemmon Jr.; one sister, Mary Ella Bullock Cotton; two brothers, William Thomas "Bill" Bullock and John Walter "JW" Bullock and many special nieces and nephews.

Her devoted family includes one son, Ward Lemmon (Harriet) of North Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Evander "Van" Ward Bullock of Winson-Salem, NC and Robert "Bob" Lemmon Bullock (Jan) of Lugoff; 2 grandchildren; and 3 great-granddaughters.

Her love of family and friends was exceeded only by her love and devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Lemmon read daily scriptures from her Bible, which rested at her bedside. Her boundless energy to serve others in need was well-known within the community.

Service were held at 11 a.m. on March 1 in First United Methodist Church, 307 East Godbold Street, Marion, with Reverend Joe Long officiating.
