ALLEN, Norman L. 69, of Urbana, passed away May 3, 2012 in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Champaign County, on December 27, 1942, the son of the late Thomas and Alma (Bragg) Allen. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia Allen; sons, Rick Allen and Shawn (Peggy) Allen; grandchildren, Chelsea, Brett, Thomas and Eli and great-grandchild, Brett Jr.; sister, Nancy (Kenny) Pence; brother, Eddie (Cindy) Allen; nephews, Brent (Christine) Pence and Austin Allen; and great-niece, Paige Pence. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Johnny. Norman Retired from Ohio Operators Engineering of Dayton, was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Michael L. Finnell Lodge # 711, past member of Tremont City United Methodist Church, a member of Emmaus Community of Springfield, New Carlisle Sportsman Club, Medway, Ohio and Madison County Coon Hunter Clubs. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed bass fishing with his sons and grandsons, wintering in Florida with his beloved wife and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Norman was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in the JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, 2425 N. Limestone St. Springfield, Ohio 45503 with Masonic services at 4:45 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Orbie G. Estep, Jr. officiating. Burial to follow in Terre Haute Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Norman to Community Mercy Hospice or the American Heart Association .
