Ms. Tonia Addison

Tonia Rochelle Addison, 44, of 307 W. South St., Frederick, departed this life on Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 at her residence. Born April 23, 1960, she was the daughter of Emma Foreman Naylor and James Joseph Naylor, and the late Robert Henry Addison Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Africa Addison and two granddaughters, Shyleria and Gianna Addison of Frederick.

"Toni," as she was lovingly called, attended South Frederick, Urbana Elementary, West Frederick Jr. High, and Frederick High School. She rededicated her life to Christ in 2003 at the Bread of Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward Ambush and wife Marva.

She was currently attending Thomas Tabernacle Holiness Church in Frederick.

Besides her parents, daughter and granddaughters, she leaves to mourn a brother, Elvin Addison and wife April of Poolesville; sister, Sakeena Addison of Frederick; brother, James Naylor and wife Teresa of Brunswick; sister, Yolanda Carchidi of Philadelphia, Pa.; and brother, Sidney Palmer and wife April of Dayton, Ohio.

She also leaves to mourn seven aunts, Anna Thompson, Mary Chase and husband Edward of Washington, D.C., Clarice Waters of Harrisburg, Pa., Sylvia Naylor, Jody Naylor, Inge Naylor, Mildred Foreman all of Frederick; 10 uncles, Nelson Ulysses, David Foreman and wife Elaine, Kenneth Foreman and wife Irene of Detroit, Mich., Evans Foreman Sr. and wife Dorothy of Washington, D.C., Charles Foreman, Henry Foreman and wife Lola Mae, and Joseph Foreman of Frederick, Herman Fredericks of Olney, George Fredericks and wife Debbie of Walkersville, and Tony Naylor of Frederick; one great-uncle, Charles Foreman; eight nieces; eight nephews; numerous great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special friends include Daphne Weedon, Beth Deider Scott, Donna Jiggers, Josephine Snowden, Sharla Lofton, Lorene Moore, Kaye Coates and Eloise Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Robert Henry Addison Jr.; grandparents, John R. Sr. and Nellie Foreman, Mary Addison, Bertha Foreman and Bernice Naylor; aunts, Margaret Foreman, Bernice Rentas, Hazel Denmark and Gloria Ann Preston; uncles, John Robert Foreman Jr. and Thomas Foreman Sr.

"Toni" especially enjoyed singing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will always be remembered for the special, individual relationships she had with family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be opened from 1 to 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Thomas Tabernacle Holiness Church, 517 S. Market St., Frederick. Bishop Roger E. Rollins, pastor of Thomas Tabernacle, will officiate.
