GLADYS MAE ADAMS
Gladys Mae Raley Adams was born in Andalusia, Alabama to Thester and Bama Bulger Raley on January 27, 1921. She died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Whitesburg Gardens in Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Adams graduated from Andalusia High School in 1940 and became a dental hygienist. She retired from the Civil Service at Fort Rucker, AL. Mrs. Adams was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise and active in the Pilot Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Clifford Adams. Funeral services will be at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. James Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Wise, Birmingham, AL; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Stashia Adams, Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren, Myra Norton and her husband Pat, Baltimore, MD, Doug Wise and his wife Daria, Marietta, GA, Fisher Wise and his wife Abi, Atlanta, GA; John Adams and his wife Deborah, and Tyler Adams all of Huntsville, AL, and Ford Adams, Jacksonville, AL; three great grandchildren, Will and Harper Wise, Marietta, GA and Weston Adams, Huntsville, AL; one brother and one sister, J.T. Raley and his wife Barbara, and Opal Fleming, all of Andalusia; two sisters-in-law, Louise Ennis, Lexington, SC and Lera Adams, Andalusia, AL.
