Cotter Funeral Is Held Friday

The funeral of L. F. Cotter, a former resident of Alton, his death occurred Tuesday in Chicago, was held Friday at 10 am from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Levis, 1311 Henry St.

The Rev. James Gillis Tucker, pastor of the First Methodist Church, conducted, this service at the home and at the grave. The Rev. Tucker read to hymn, "Abide With Me" and Tennyson's "Crossing The Bar." Burial was in the Levis lot in City Cemetery.

Two grandsons, Edward and Lee Cotter, Jason Bramhall, Middleton and Walton Levis and Lawrence Dalton were pallbearers.

Among relatives from out of town here for the funeral were Mrs. Earl Donahue of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Kesinger, Mrs. Otto Weiss, Mrs. John Burke and grandson Burke Denby and Ms. Henrietta Snow, all of Collinsville.
