Isaiah Gene Ithurria was born on a beautiful snowy day on January 13, 2007 in Grants, NM.
Surrounded by his family, he became our Angel on May 4, 2012.
Isaiah was a special boy and touched so many hearts. His unique personality was one of a kind. Isaiah wanted to become a future pirate, athlete and play for the Green Bay Packers.
Isaiah also wanted to become a hero, a firefighter, so he could follow in the footsteps of his Uncle Gene. Little did he know that he was already his entire family's hero.
Isaiah is tremendously and truly missed.
Isaiah is survived by his mama, Desiree, brother, Noah and nana, Yvette, his great-grandparents, Jean and Isabel Ithurria, his Godmother, (Nina), Jolene Zapata and Godfather (Nino), Lou Zapata, his auntie, Yvonne and uncle, Lode Saavedra, auntie, Janette and uncle, Emilio Barela, uncle, Philip Ithurria, auntie, Annette and uncle, Dan Skawski, auntie, Michelle and uncle, Mike Maés, auntie, Rosanne and uncle, Isidoro Apodaca, auntie, Betty and uncle, Larry Díaz, auntie, Susan and uncle, Pat Gallegos and auntie, Genevie Ithurria and uncle, Gene Ithurria, his great-great-grandmother, Aresenia Chávez, uncle, Dustin and Quentin Deloris and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Isaiah was preceded in death by his great-great-grandfather, Leopoldo Chávez, cousin, Lawrence Saavedra, great-great-uncle, Tudy Chávez, great-great-auntie, Helen Chávez and cousin, Eric Chávez.
A Memorial Rosary for Isaiah Gene Ithurria, age 5, will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Cubero, NM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Cubero Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Skawski, John Skawski, Joseph Apodaca and Patrick Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emelio Barela, Michael Barela, Mario Barela, Brin Maés, Coy Maés, Alicia Apodaca and Kayla Gallegos.
