James V. Musick, 87 years old resident of Iberia, passed away at his home there Friday from complications incident to age. Mr. Musick was born at Jefferson City on December 8, 1856, but came to Miller County and had farmed most of his life near Iberia.

On Jun 28, 1877, he was married to Mary F. Sidwell, to which three children were born, all living, who are Joseph W. Musick of Pretty Prairie, Kans., John H. Musick of Iberia, and Mrs. Carrie Thome of Great Bend, Kansas. He also leaves two half-brothers and one half-sister, Frank and Will Musick of Tuscumbia, and Mrs. Charley Ambrose of Iberia, besides seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Musick passed away 18 years ago.

Mr. Musick had been a member of the Christian Church for 50 years.

Funeral services were held from the Iberia Christian Church Sunday, August 26, at 2:30 p.m. with the Revs. James Thompson and Earl B. Brown officiating. Interment was in the Iberia Cemetery with Adams & Casey Funeral service. Pallbearers were R.L. Wright of Tuscumbia, Fred Whitlock of Eldon, W.F. Clark of Ulman, Redus Rowden, Audrey Ferguson and Hirsty McKee of Iberia.
