SLEDGE, Miss- Services will be today for a Quitman County woman who died Saturday after a two-car accident in Tate County. Mrs. Mavis Maxine Jones Hall, 62, of Sledge, was alone when her 1984 Dodge collided with a 1977 Chevrolet driven by Danny L. Ayres, 30, of Crenshaw, said dispatcher Sareeta Legge of the
Mississippi Highway Patrol. Ayres was not seriously injured.The wreck occurred about 6:25 a.m. on Mississippi 3 in Tate County near Sarah. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, Ms. Legge said. Other details were not available Sunday evening.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sledge Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in the Longtown Cemetery near Crenshaw. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks has charge.

Mrs. Hall, the widow of Charles Junior Hall, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Maria Hall White of Lambert; four sons, Timothy Lloyd Hall and Dewey Cecil Hall, both of Crenshaw, Gerald Raymond Hall of Sledge and James Anthony Hall of Nesbit; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Marie Overall of Sledge and Mrs. Agnes Inez Tabor of Abbeville; a brother, David Raymond Jones of Sardis, 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
