Her first husband was Clifton Lee Stevens (1898-1934), with whom she had all five of her children:
Olive Augusta Stevens (1924-1978)
Lois Fay Stevens (1925-2002)
Clifton L. Stevens II (1929-1993)
Richard M. Stevens (living)
James Wayne Stevens (1934-1999)
After Clifton's death, Bama married Edgar Jeunesse.
Her Louisiana death certificate says she was buried in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery #2 in New Orleans, but cemetery records indicate she was buried in Greenwood Cemetery. My father, Richard M. Stevens, Sr., recalls that the cemetery was on Canal Street, although he couldn't recall its name. He did say she was buried in a plot owned by her sister-in-law, Alma Jeunesse Cooney.
I am Bama's grandson, the son of Richard M. Stevens, Sr.
