J. A. Williamson Sr.
James Arthur Williamson Sr., 75-year-old resident of 1527 East Seventh Street, died suddenly at his home at 10 a.m. this morning.
Mr. Williamson had been in failing health in recent months, but his death this morning was not expected. It was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Henninger & Lilly Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson was a native of this county and spent practically his entire life here. He was a graduate of the Ferrell School for Boys, and married the former Mabel Stewart, who survives him, on Nov. 11, 1903.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James Jr., Herbert and Donald Paul Williamson, all of this city, a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Robertson of Paducah, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Cy Williamson Sr. and Will Williamson, both of the city, two sisters, Mrs. Debbie Davenport of the city, Mrs. Tom Jackson of Lexington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
