Henry Louis Rivera was born in Genoa, Italy on March 5, 1850 and died in New Orleans on Sept. 28, 1925. He was the son of Charles and Antoinette Rivera, brother of Theresa Senac (nee Rivera) and husband to Marie "Mamie" Hester. Henry and Mamie had several children, many of whom died very young, Charles William Rivera, Louis Henry Rivera, Camile Antoine Rivera, Magnus Joseph Rivera, Juanita May Lee (nee Rivera), Lawrence Lee Rivera, Hester Antoinette Simmons (nee Rivera), Harvey E Rivera and Sedonia Alice Rivera.
