FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ALBERT MILLER
Funeral services for Albert Miller of Nelsonville, who died at the family residence Thursday night, Sept. 3 at 9:15 o'clock, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the New Providence Presbyteiran church near Benbow, conducted by the Rev. W. O. Teninty of Palmyra, who was a former classmate of Mr. Miller, when they attended the old Van Rensselaer Academy at Big Creek. Rev. Teninty was assisted bv tne Rev. E. E. Cardrey of Hannibal.
Funeral hymns were sung by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Chas. Brown, Urban Chipman and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Eger, the accompaniments being played by Mrs. Ellis Gardhouse. Mrs. Morris McElroy of Huntington sang a solo and was accompanied by her mother Mrs. John Gallagher. Pall bearers were E. C. Bohon, Ben and Carl Eger, G. E. Imbler and O. H. Schieferdecker. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born at Nelsonville, Dec. 7, 1892, son of Frank and Olive Gallagher Miller and spent practically all of his life in that community. He was taken ill about two years ago, his illness compelling him to retire from the rural mail service which had been his occupation for about twenty years. He was a member of New Providence church and had served the church as an elder. He had many friends and was held in highest esteem by all who knew him. He was affiliated with the Modern Woodman of America.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Robert Ella Miller; two sons, Weston Miller at home and David Miller of St. Louis; his mother, Mrs Olive Miller; one sister Mrs. C. A, Bellinger of Junction City Kas.
