Brad Dean Arthur, 54, of Spencer, passed away IU hospital in Indianapolis, May 9, 2012. He was born in Greencastle on February 25, 1958 to Wesley Eugene and Virginia (Denny) Arthur. He was a 1976 graduate of Owen Valley High School. He worked 35 years for Milestone Contractors in Indy as paving superintendent, and was owner operator of Brad Arthur Seal Coating in Spencer. Brad was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic in Bloomington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar and bass guitar at church, woodworking, and riding 4-wheelers with his grandsons. He was a wonderful husband, father, and papaw.
Mr. Arthur is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary (Cornwell) Arthur; a daughter, Joanna Miller (Anthony) of Bloomfield; two grandchildren, Dakota and Kolton; his mother, Virginia Arthur of Spencer; four brothers, Darrell Arthur (Elaine), Robert Arthur (Donna), Ernest Arthur, and Andrew Arthur (Janice) all of Spencer; two sisters, Donna Alday and Dollie Sturgell (Mark) of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 11am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Rev. Virgil Cornwell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
