Bennett McFarland Lambert was born in Lawrence County, Ohio in 1829. He was married to Vianna Brammer about the beginning of the Civil War in 1861. Vianna Lambert died in 1898 and was buried near where she had lived and reared her five children. Bennett Lambert came to Oklahoma to be with two of his sons. He lived only a short time after coming to Oklahoma Territory and was buried in a cemetery (Grace Hill) at Perry Oklahoma (Territory at that time) in 1901.

"Bennett, born in October 1832 and became a farmer. In 1860, at 27 years of age, he is listed with a John Young family who lived next door to James and Maria Lambert at the time. He worked then as a "laborer". In the 1900 census, his occupation is "Old Soldier". He married the former Melvina Brammer on 9 December 1862 and they had 5 children.
