Abbie Ann Allen, the daughter of John and Rhoda Reynold, was born in Grout Township, Gladwin County, October 2, 1884, and passed away at the Clare General Hospital May 10, 1962 at the age of 78 years.

She had been in ill health since suffering a severe stroke nearly two years ago.

She was united in marriage with Scott Allen August 31, 1910 at Clare, Michigan, where she spent the rest of her life. This union was blessed with four children. The first born a son preceded her in death at the age of 3 months

She leaves to mourn their loss her husband Scott, three sons, Thurston of Sarasota, Florida, Orville of Flint and Jay at home. Also a brother, Jack Reynolds, a half-sister, Mrs. Roy Bennett of Caibou Lake, several nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind and generous friend and neighbor.

Services for rs. Allen were held at the Thurston Funeral Home May 13, with Rev. Elza Beery officiating and interment in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
