Father: Kenneth C. Black
Mother: Doris M. Perry
Ross Black
Ross Black, age 82, of Caldwell, went to see his parents and two sisters in Heaven on Feb. 22, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Ross was born in Trumbull, Neb., on Oct. 31, 1925, the oldest of five children. The family moved to Caldwell in 1935. Ross loved to visit friends and family and he liked family to visit him. He liked kids and had a special love for all his nieces and nephews.
Ross liked cars and in his younger years could tell you the make, year, and everything that went down the road. He also liked to play pool and do puzzles. Ross's cousin, Perry sent him a John Deere riding lawn mower; we called it Ross's Cadillac.
Ross was very neat and particular. He took special care of all his things. He loved to walk and visit his friends at the Caldwell Auction, Doug, Wes, Dan and others. He liked to spend days with Leland and Barbara Chitwood in Weiser and Bob Orcott in Kuna.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Doris Black, two sisters, Joanne Sloan and Donna Lee Black.
Survivors include a brother, K. Gary Black and Peggy and a sister Barbara Ellen Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Ross never asked for much, a pat on the back and a hug made him happy. We will miss you, Ross, may you rest in peace.
