Alfred Charles Palmer of Corte Madera, 80 year old retired watchmaker, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Wales, Palmer had been a longtime resident of San Francisco before moving to Corte Madera a few years ago. He lived at 215 Chapman Drive with his wife, Augusta Charlotte Palmer, who survives him.
Palmer also leaves 4 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Robertson of Corte Madera; Mrs. Alice Adams, Mrs. Annie Adams, and Mrs. Amy Bradley, all of Portland, OR; and 3 sons Frank Palmer of Portland, OR; Reg Palmer of San Francisco; and William Palmer of Sacramento; 26 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Corte Madera. Friends may call at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary until noon tomorrow. Burial will be at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
