Mrs. Rita Joyce Eberhart McDowell, 70, wife of Robert McDowell and a resident of University Drive in Columbia, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. McDowell will be conducted Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Billy Kimbrough officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
The Brownsboro, Texas native was the daughter of Maggie Clayton Eberhart of Arlington, Texas and the late Allison A. Eberhart. She was homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Linda (Joe) Young of Euless, TX; a son, Steve (fiancee’ Terri) McDowell of Franklin, TN; four grandchildren, Jakob Young of Euless, TX, Brooke McDowell, Brian McDowell, and Blake McDowell all of Columbia, TN; a great granddaughter, Chloe Cross of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Charlsie Price and Linda Sue Hurley both of Arlington, TX; several nieces and nephews.
