Edward was a 13-year-old student at Shawnee Junior High School and a member of the West Broadway Baptist Church. He is survived by his father, Edward A. Stigers, Sr.; his mother, Marjorie Kinslow Stigers; his two brothers; and both of his grandmothers, Mrs. John Flener and Edith Stigers. His funeral was on Wednesday, 30 Dec 1953. edward was killed when he slipped on a slick pavement , he was getting off the city bus to go see his grandmother on dixie hwy and when he slipped he slipped into path of a on coming car. it was a tragedy, he was survived by two brothers ,steven and another brother and both his parents he was well loved.
