William J. (Bill) DeSelms, 84, died Tuesday, July 14, 1981 at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, after a long illness. Born Jan. 20, 1897, at Stafford, he married Vida Jolly May 8, 1918. He married Adele Mueller May 5, 1977, at Ellsworth. He was a retired farmer and had moved to Claflin two years ago from Stafford.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Wichita; and was a W.W.I Army veteran.
Survivors: widow, Adele, Hays; daughters, Mrs Dale Eppley, Hoisington; Mrs. Wayne Meireis, Paul, Idaho; Mrs. Bill Clinton, San Mateo, Calif.; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Funeral was 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Rev. Art Anderson officiated. Graveside service was 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stafford Cemetery, Stafford.
