Olive M. Herrold, Dec. 25, 1909 - Dec. 4, 2001, Olive M. HERROLD, 91, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at her Grass Creek residence. Born in Liberty Township, Fulton County, to Gerry and Jessica PARKS APT, she married Carl M. HERROLD Sept. 7, 1930 in Grass Creek. He died Jan. 20, 1992. Mrs. Herrold, a homemaker, was a member of extension homemakers clubs, including Wayne Friendly Extension Homemaker Club, and was past county president. A 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star, she belonged to Rochester's Chapter 70 and was a matron of Kewanna Order of the Eastern Star and a district deputy. A 1927 Fulton High School graduate, she was a member of Fulton Baptist Church and enjoyed painting, wood carving, knitting and crafts. Survivors include two sons, Bob [HERROLD] and wife Janece and John C. [HERROLD] and wife Nada, all of Grass Creek; seven grandchildren, Jessica HUFFMAN, Brownsburg, Mick HERROLD, Twelve Mile, Lynne DITTMAN, Akron, Mark and Dale HERROLD, Mindy DOUGLASS and Michelle RIGNEY, all of Grass Creek; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret SHOWLEY, Rochester. Preceding in death with her husband were three sisters and two brothers. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, with Rev. Cheryl STRATTON officiating. Burial will be at Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4- 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where there will be an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
