Mr. William Henry Carney, Jr., 54, died Sunday, May 23, 2004 at his residence on Nowlin Court in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mr. Carney will be conducted Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Davidson County native was the son of the late William H., Sr. and Estelle Bumpus Carney. He was the husband of Ruby Frame Carney of Columbia. He was a former employee of Aqua Bath Company in Nashville and served our country in the U.S. Marines.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Dava Carney and Tara Carney both of Smyrna, TN; several grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; his step mother, Barbara Carney Mt. Juliet; two step sons, Van Phillips of Spring Hill, TN and Mike Phillips of Ashland City, TN.

Pallbearers will be Van Phillips, Mike Phillips, Bob Reed, Brian Jarrett, Ronnie Burns, and Jerry Burns.
