Ambrose was a member of the Czechoslovakian Society of America and enjoyed polka music. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being a master at gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Mrs. Joyce Barrett, Lynda (Michael) Fritz of Cincinnati, OH; sons, David (Toni) of Albuquerque, NM, and Bryan; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Ambrose was preceded in death by his brothers, Julius, Anthony, and John Kovarik, and son in law, John Barrett.

Coy Road at Starr Avenue, on Thursday, November 30, 2000, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 106 W. Plumer St., Toledo, Ohio.
