Elmer F. Adam, the son of Marie Helena (Frerichs) and Walter Herman Adam, was born on May 15, 1919 in rural Macon, Nebraska. Elmer passed away on September 23, 2013 at Bethany Home, Minden, Nebraska.

Elmer was baptized on May 29, 1919, at Macon, Nebraska, and he was confirmed on April 14, 1935, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ash Grow Township, Franklin County, Nebraska. He attended school in the Macon, Nebraska area schools until the 8th grade. Elmer married Velma Fegter on May 4, 1941, at Big Springs, Nebraska. To his union 5 children were born. Elmer was a family man, a farmer, and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Franklin, Nebraska.

Elmer was preceded in death by: parents; wife, Velma Adam; sons, Wilbur E and Delbert S. Adam and brothers, Robert and William Adam.

Elmer is survived by: son, Raymond and wife Henrietta Adam of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughters, MyRene Madgsick and husband, Jim Peterson of Plymouth, Minnesota and Charlene and husband, Maynard Schriner of Hildreth, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Laura Adam of Kearney, Nebraska; grandchildren, Susan Adam, Karen and husband, Tim Kolb, Ben and wife, Kerry Adam, Lisa Adam, Karl Magdsick, Greg and wife, Mellisa Magdsick, Cecil Schriner, Jennifer and husband, Reggie Ortgiesen, and Maynard Schriner, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Fred and wife, Marian Adam of Wilcox, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Delores Adam of Wilcox, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends.

Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska.
