Robert E. Cochran, 86, of Atwood died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday (May 16, 2012) at the Arthur Home, Arthur.
He was born Oct. 14, 1925 in Lovington, the son of Elmer Allen and Mabel Bailey Cochran. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Danny Wayne Cochran; one sister and one brother. He married Mary Belle Eckel on Oct. 4, 1947 in Decatur. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Patricia Lynn Connour of Decatur; two granddaughters, Malora (Doug) Snyder of Atwood and Lashelle (Mike) Plank of Arthur and six great-grandchildren.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
