Funeral services for William F Spicer, 67, farmer...of the 7th district of Overton County, who died at his home near Taylor's Crossroads on Tuesday, May 28 at 3 p.m. after an illness of two years, was conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with burial in the family cemetery.
He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South and an active church worker.
His wife, who was Miss Ruth Carter before their marriage, died eighteen years ago. He was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Williams Spicer.
He is survived by one son, Rockford Spicer; two daughters, Mrs Verdie Smith and Mrs Eula Davis; three brothers, J Yancey Spicer and James W Spicer of Overton County and L Hampton Spicer of Clay County.
