O’Neal Maroney, 80, of Toney, AL., passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home with family and friends at his bedside. O’Neal is survived by his daughter, Shirley Ann Ivey (Junior) Huntsville, son, Donald Maroney (Sherry) Hazel Green, Al. Eight Grandchildren, Shane Maroney, Chrissy Maroney, Chase Maroney, Hannah Maroney, Lee Trulson, Daniel Ivey, Timothy Ivey, and Elizabeth Ivey and one Great Grandchild, Zethan McKelvey Ivey. Three brothers, Lloyd Maroney, Huntsville, Al., Floyd Maroney, Blount County, Al., Thomas Maroney, Holly Pond, Al and sister, Joyce Rucker, Huntsville, Al.
O’Neal was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Carpenter Maroney, two children, James O'neal Maroney and Mary Elizabeth Maroney, Toney, Alabama. Parents, Shirley Millard and Gladys Callahan Maroney; brothers Mike Maroney and Eugene Maroney.
Visitation will be Tuesday Oct 27, 2020 from 11-1 at Spry Funeral Home, with services to follow and burial at Madison Cemetery, in Madison, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Shane Maroney, Phillip Maroney, Timothy Ivey, Daniel Ivey, John Knox, and Harold Markham.
