Sister Sappok, the former Anna Sappok, was born Oct. 19, 1908, in Poland, the daughter of August and Martha Gach Sappok.
She entered the congregation in 1927 and professed her religious vows in 1930. Sister Sappok performed domestic tasks at hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin. From 1947 until 1980, she served at the Bishop's House in Springfield. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1980.
Survivors: two sisters, Sister Brigida Sappok of Germany and Maria Kamander of Poland; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Eucharistic Celebration and Rite of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church at the Motherhouse, the Rev. Terence Tracey as celebrant. Burial in Crucifixion Hill Cemetery.
