"Bryan" was born to RICHARD "LEE" LEWIS and EUNICE MAE PADRICK LEWIS on a cotton mill village in Kinston, NC. He worked as an electrician, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was my dad's brother and they were very close. I recall him always raising lots of hunting dogs. There was even one Thanksgiving we were at his house and one of the dogs kept growling at my Mom. She finally asked Uncle Bryan what was wrong with him, and he said, "Oh, you're eating out of his plate." Uncle Brian was a character! He chewed "Red Man" tobacco forever and I remember he always has a spit can close by! He was followed in death by his wife GLENNIE M.MANNING LEWIS whom he married around 1950. He was father of the late BRYAN CLIFTON "ROCK" LEWIS, JR., the late SHELBY JEAN LEWIS, and daughter, Barbara Lewis Guy of the home; sister in law Ruby Hines of Tennessee, three grandchildren, Penny Asby and husband, John, David Guy and Joshua Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Blair Asby and Lauren Asby; and daughter-in-law Diane Nelson. He was the brother of, EUNICE LEWIS ; CHRISTIANA LEWIS FOY ; ROSA LEE LEWIS MOFFITT ; MATTIE SUSAN LEWIS ; MARY ELIZABETH "TOOTS" LEWIS RYAN
and husband Eddie; KATHERINE MAE LEWIS ; WHITLEY LEWIS ; ZEALY M. "MARSHGRASS" LEWIS, SR. and RICHARD KERMIT LEWIS and Ralph Donald Lewis. He was also a Korean War Veteran having served in the US Army. He is deeply missed.

Cause of death: Lung and throat cancer.
