Kerry returned to heaven in the early morning of Monday, February 28, 1983 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on her way to school. Kerry was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She is the beloved daughter of Joseph Lee and Marie Mozingo Futrell and the loving sister of Kelly and Aunt to Kelly's 2 daughters, Kerry, Cacey, and son Codey. She was followed in death by her mother, Marie and paternal grandmother, Doris Holt; maternal grandmother Mrs Irene Mozingo; and paternal great grandmother Mrs Beatrice Lane. She was an aspiring 8th grade student at Topsail Junior/Senior High School at the time of her passing. She would have graduated with her class in 1987, and her class dedicated their yearbook to her memory. She was also a member of Hampstead Baptist Church, played on the softball team and sang in the choir. Her passing left a deep scar within the community and church. Her laughter and bright smile has been deeply missed. Until we meet again dear friend...

Thank you Paul for sponsoring Kerry's memorial. You are a blessed soul.
