Mrs. Ada Jewel Rankin, 65, of Decatur, died at her home Oct. 14 after an extended illness. Born July 5, 1912, in Madison County, she was a member of the Church of Christ and a resident of Decatur for the past 20 years. Survivors include one son, Terry Rankin, Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Janette Wood, Tulsa, and Mrs. Rema Lowe, Gentry; three sisters, Mrs. Era Phillips, Huntsville, Mrs. Audry Rowlette, David, Calif, and Mrs. Vista Bradley, Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Ted Johnson officiating. Burial was in Decatur Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Service.
