A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 22nd, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Fr. Jim Miller of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. She will be laid to rest at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery.
Born Frances Kay Curley on June 2nd, 1915, at Colo, Story County, Iowa, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Roche) Curley. She received her education in the area of her birth.
On August 23rd, 1940, she was united in marriage to Salem Jamell. They made Marshalltown their home where she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dick (Connie) Jamell of Marshalltown, grandchildren: Jamie Carlund, Gerald "Jerry" Jamell and Timothy Jamell, eleven great-grandchildren: Jessie, Alan, Jenn, Jared, Ciera, Jessica, Kara, Bobbie, Tim, Billi and Josh, five great-great-grandchildren: McKenna, Cameo, Angelie, Tarin and Bryton, sister Helen Quigley of Iowa City as well as several nieces, nephews, her family at Villa del Sol and friends.
In death she has rejoined her parents, Five sisters and one brother: Ada Elliott, Mary Good, Jo Lovig, Winifred Barker, Bill Curley, and Janie Kriegel, and her husband Salem.
