On June 17, 1933, she married Frederick A. Post, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1964.
She farmed with her husband most of her life until his death. Her enjoyments included gardening, sewing, knitting, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are so thankful for such a loving, Christian mother, her life was an inspiration to all of us!
Survivors include nine children: Jeanette (Harold) Zeitler, Algoma; Robert (Rita) Post, Kewaunee; Bernice Machut, Green Bay; Roy (Donna) Post, Maribel; Carol (James) Nemecek, Kewaunee; Roger (Carol) Post, Montpelier; Arlene Gruetzmacher, Shirley (Sheldon) Prodell, all of Kewaunee; Ellen Post, Green Bay;
28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren;
one brother and two sisters-in-law: Harvey and Dorothy Dahlke, De Pere; and Ione Seegers, Watertown;
one sister, Violet Blohowiak, Chilton;
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Norman Post;
two sons-in-law, Wallace Machut and Wayne Gruetzmacher;
one infant granddaughter;
one brother, Elmer Dahlke;
one sister and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Milton Dahlke, Adolph Blohowiak;
two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Eleonora and John Karnopp, Louise Post, Emil Post.
Friends may call at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 26. Parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the church, with Rev. A.E. Batiansila officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
